About this experience
Dedicated to the goddess Isis, Philae Temple now stands on Agilkia Island. The boat journey is part of the experience: columns and pylons appear between the Nile waters and surrounding rocks. Reliefs in the courtyards and on the walls tell stories of gods, rulers and rituals.
The complex was moved from its original island to protect it from flooding. A visit pairs well with the Unfinished Obelisk and the High Dam. We can discuss the boat crossing, entrance tickets and an optional guide when planning your day.
