About this experience
Some of Egypt’s most celebrated tombs lie on Luxor’s west bank. In the Valley of the Kings, passages lead into rock-cut tombs whose painted walls reflect ancient beliefs about the afterlife. The tombs open to visitors and their ticket requirements can vary.
Hatshepsut’s terraced temple rises against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. The Colossi of Memnon are nearby; with more time you might also visit Medinet Habu, Deir el-Medina or the Tombs of the Nobles. The stops you choose determine the length of the day.
